Rock Creek Park spans 1,754 acres immediately to the east of Chevy Chase. This sprawling green space has 32 miles of hiking trails, a planetarium, a horse center, 13 miles of riding trails, picnic groves, playgrounds, sports fields, a tennis center, and an 18-hole golf course. Chevy Chase Club is one of the area’s most historic and prestigious country clubs. Opened in 1892, the club’s facilities include an 18-hole Donald Ross golf course, tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness facilities, an ice rink, and a clubhouse with a variety of dining options. Columbia Country Club has been a highly sought-after establishment since 1898, offering top-rate sports amenities, cuisine, social events, and seasonal activities.
